CGEE KDU at the forefront of increasing gender awareness among its community
Centre for Gender Equity & Equality of KDU completed its 3rd and 4th gender awareness workshops on 9th November. For the first time after a while, these workshops were conducted physically at KDU Main Auditorium. More than 150 supporting staff and management staff from HQ, different faculties, and sections of KDU participated in the workshop.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by a number of senior officers, both civil and military of KDU while the DVC (Defence & Administration) joined the second workshop.
The resource person of the workshop was Mr Kapila Rasnayake, Gender Consultant, script writer and stage drama actor.
The workshops were very informative and eye opening for the audiences as for most of the participants this was a novel concept. The style of presentation by Mr Rasnayake made both workshops very entertaining and interactive and the audiences were very much engaged in sharing their experiences and ideas on gender related issues. “
