Representatives of CGEE Participated for  16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence

 Five Participants from CGEE- KDU for an event organized by The European Union, UNFPA, and UN Women, commemorating the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence were participated. The focus of the event is on ending violence against women in politics. This Event was held  7 th December 2023 from 8.30 AM to 12:00 PM at the  Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo

The event aims to explore the impact of violence against women on their leadership and political participation, offering practical advice from women experienced in politics. Additionally, it will discuss the systemic changes necessary to ensure the safe and effective navigation of the political arena by young women in Sri Lanka.
