Meeting with the High Commissioner of Maldives to Sri Lanka
KDU has invited the High Commissioner of Maldives to Sri Lanka for bilateral talks on matters of mutual interest. Among many areas of cooperation, Maldivian High Commissioner was keen to have the facilities of KDU teaching hospital (UHKDU) available for its citizens for treatments. Parties also have discussed the possibility of strengthening existing bilateral relations to provide more opportunities for Maldivian students to join degree programmes conducted by KDU. During the discussion with the Vice Chancellor Major General Milinda Peiris, the High Commissioner invited KDU to set up its sub-campus in Maldives for the benefit of their students. The High Commissioner his Excellency Mr. Omar Abdul Razzak was also joined by his Defence Advisor Colonel Ismail Naseer.
Present in the occasion with the Vice Chancellor were the Director International Relations Dr KMGP Premadasa, Deputy Registrar Lt Cdr (C) DMS Dissanayake and the Dean faculty of Medicine Prof RANK Wijesinghe. Mr. Omar conveyed his appreciation for the invitation by mentioning that the mission is pleased to maintain cordial engagement with the KDU.
