We are pleased to announce the 10th Annual International Research Conference of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka organized under the theme of “Changing Dynamics in the Global Environment: Challenges and Opportunities” on 3rd and 4th August 2017.
This dynamic event is aimed to provide an international forum for researchers and professionals to exchange ideas and share latest findings across a broad range of disciplines. The conference seeks to foster networking and collaborations within and between academia and industry at the national and international levels and be a catalyst to encourage the innovation and the creativity of enthusiastic young researchers.
A mathematician, astronomer and astrobiologist. His research interests include the interstellar medium, infrared astronomy, light scattering theory, applications of solid-state physics to astronomy, the early Solar System, comets, astrochemistry, the origin of life and astrobiology.
Is an Inventor, Engineer, Scientist, educator and Entrepreneur. He is one of the most eminent inventors of medical devices, with more than 30 medical devices patents to his name in the United States and internationally. He has developed a variety of medical device enterprises, such as balloon angioplasty, vascular stents, local drug therapy procedures to name a few.
She is an Honorary Senior Fellow at the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security, University of Wollongong, Australia. Her research interests include international fisheries law and policy, ocean policy and management, maritime security, and regional marine governance.
She is a master mariner with a PhD in Human-Machine Interaction. Presently holding positions as Professor of Nautical studies & deputy director of NCPS Seafaring at the Australian Maritime College. Her research interests include human-centered design, the effects of new technology & resilience engineering.
Prof. Martin Renilson has been working in the field of Ship Hydrodynamics for over 35 years. He established the Ship Hydrodynamics Centre at the Australian Maritime College (AMC) in 1983, and was Director of the Australian Maritime Engineering Cooperative Research Centre in 1992.
He is an internationally recognised researcher and teacher in diagnostic radiography. Taking a great interest in professional issues he became the President of the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy (2005-7) and an inaugural member of the health and social care professional council the regulatory body for health professional in Ireland (2008-11).
