The Faculty of Computing of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University is celebrating its victory at the Inter-Faculty Swimming Meet- 2023. The faculty emerged as the champions for the second consecutive year after a thrilling competition with the other faculties.

The meet was held at the University pool premises. After a grueling 3 days of competition, the Faculty of Computing emerged triumphant, with 138 points. The team won 8 gold medals, 10 Silver medals, and 7 bronze medals. The Faculty of Computing’s success was due to the hard work of its swimmers and their commitment to honing their skills.

The Faculty of Computing’s victory was further highlighted by the individual successes of its swimmers. Two of its swimmers, KDRM Munasinghe and SK Liyanage, held new records in the 133m Individual medley (2.14.68) and 100m freestyle (1.03.87) events, respectively.

The Inter-Faculty Swimming Meet 2023 was an exciting display of talent and dedication, and the Faculty of Computing’s victory is a testament to its commitment to excellence.
