Archt. Associate Professor Dr. M Nishan Rasanga Wijetunge took part online as an invited guest speaker in the International Symposium on Art and Design organized by University of Home Economics, Lahore, Pakistan.
The faculty of Art and Design, University of Home Economics, Lahore, Pakistan had its first International symposium on Art and Design: Tradition Fusing Innovation (ADTFI) in May 2023. The International symposium was inaugurated with its first session with the theme, ‘Breaking the Boundaries’ on 04th of May 2023. The session had the honor of having few renowned speakers representing diverse parts of the globe, namely: Prof. Shahnawaz Zaidi- Former Principle, PUCAD, University of Punjab, Dr. Suriya Chodhary – Associate professor, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, Muhammad Husnain Mehmood- CEO, MHM, Professor Danny Kaye – former senior lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, UK, Mrs. Amna Walayat – international speaker on visual arts from Ireland, Mr. Ali Tahir – international speaker, director, actor and producer along with Dr. Nishan Wijetunge- Associate Professor, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka. Prof. Dr. Amara Raza was the chief guest for the session and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bilal was the session moderator. An interactive as well as impactful session was concluded with the support from Postgraduate Research Centre of Creative Arts as the Academic partner and Alief TV as the Media partner.
