Opening of the New Faculty Building of the Faculty of Management Social Sciences and Humanities (FMSH) at KDU

A momentous occasion was marked on 23rd June 2023, as KDU proudly unveiled its latest New Faculty Building of the Faculty of Management Social Sciences and Humanities (FMSH) and it was declared open by Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil at the invitation of Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Vice Chancellor of KDU.

The Guests were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, Mr. WAAK Amaratunga, Faculty Directors, Academia, Non- Academic staff members, Officer Cadets and Day Scholars who were present at the ceremony.

With the construction of new complex, Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities, being one of the oldest and largest faculties of KDU, would able to cater for increasing demand of undergraduates with all modern facilities. The building features with Smart Classrooms equipped with audiovisual systems and interactive teaching tools, one Theater Type Lecture hall and fully equipped Language Lab as well.

These facilities will enhance the learning experience, enabling academia to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons, while fostering student participation and interaction. With this opening it showcases the University’s commitment to creating an inspiring learning environment.
