The Git and GitHub workshop that was organized by the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) Community of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was recently held on the 29th of July 2023, and it brought about a whole new experience for the computing undergraduates. The workshop commenced with the GitHub campus expert, Mr. Suvin Nimnaka, who had been cordially invited to conduct the session, giving an introduction to the concepts of this unique collaboration platform, followed by a range of entertaining practical activities as well as active interaction with the audience.

The session went on to the point where a quiz was also conducted, which further enhanced active interaction among the audience, as that too brought about the presence of entertainment. The active participation was further highlighted as special gifts were given out for each correct answer that was made in the quiz. The gifts included Backpacks, Stickers, T-shirts and many more.

The hard work and dedication that the organizing committee put in to organise such a session was highly worth it and was surely not a waste of their valuable time, as the workshop was conducted in the most effective manner.
