KDU Holds Talks with US Embassy Officials to Explore the Possibility for Academic Collaborations

Diplomats from the political division of the US Embassy Mr Anthony Renzulli and Mr Marcus Carpenter visited KDU on 24th September 2020 and held a round of very successful discussions to explore the possibility of assisting KDU to link up with reputed institutions in the US. This visit was organized by the International Relations office as part of its initiative to host Diplomatic community KDU to increase their awareness of KDU and its activities.
The Vice Chancellor of KDU, Maj Gen MP Peiris received the guests and appraised their assistance given by them to establish a brand-new language lab in KDU. Joining the discussion, the academics of KDU requested visiting diplomats, a greater engagement with academic community for research and academic collaborations. Along with the Vice Chancellor, the Director International Relations Dr KMGP Premadasa, the Dean Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies Col. Sylvester Perera, Dean R&D Prof CL Goonasekara, Prof Amal Jayawardena, Dr Harinda Vidanage and Dr Darshan De Silva joined the discussion.
