Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Director and Coordinator general of COMSTECH discussed with the Director, International Relations of KDU, Dr KMGP Premadasa the possibility of renewing ties between two institutes on a range of activities including research collaboration, delivery of courses thorough video-conferencing, joint PhD supervision and staff & student exchange to name a few.

During the discussion, Dr Premadasa requested Prof Choudhary to assist KDU also in formally establishing a link with an accreditation body in Pakistan to obtain certification to medical equipment developed in KDU, since such facilities are currently unavailable in the country.

During the discussion Prof Choudhary expressed his pleasure for being able to work with KDU. The KDU expects to implement the activities in the agreement through KDU-CARE.
