AIT Delegation visit to KDU

Delegates from the Asian Institution of Technology, including Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Executive Director of the Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Sangam Shrestha, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology (SET), and Prof. Abdul Salam, Dean of the School of Environment Resources and Development (SERD), visited General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) on April 5th, 2024. They engaged in formal discussions with Prof. KAS Dhammika, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), along with other key university personnel, including the Deputy Registrar, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Head of the Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Computing, and the Director of International Relations.

During the meeting, there was a significant emphasis on strengthening the academic partnership between KDU and AIT. Prof. KAS Dhammika and Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe highlighted the importance of effectively implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), marking a pivotal moment in the collaboration. AIT presented various opportunities for capacity-building, including postgraduate study options and research collaborations. In turn, KDU expressed its eagerness to capitalize on these opportunities.
