Faculty of Allied Health Sciences Receives a prestigious grant from ERASMUS + programme of Europe
ERASMUS+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. ERASMUS+ provides the opportunity for organizations from eligible Partner Countries such as Sri Lanka, mainly higher education institutions (HEIs), to promote cooperation through actions that build the capacity of national authorities to modernize their own higher education systems
In 2019, for the first time in its history, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University submitted a proposal for the ERASMUS+ program for a capacity building University of Colombo, the University of Ruhuna, University of Peradeniya and Kristianstad University, Sweden in a consortium. The proposal was successful in securing funding from ERASMUS+ and decisions have been informed to applicants. Accordingly, KDU is expected to receive funding to carry out a project titles “Enhance the capacity to meet the challenges of caring for the people with neurodegenerative disorders in Sri Lanka by offering Master’s degree for healthcare professionals”
