KDU and Malaysia Defence University discusses 25th ARF- HDUCIM

On February 8, 2022, KDU and the National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM) held a bilateral meeting to discuss preparations for the upcoming 25th Asian Regional Forum, Heads of Defence Universities, Colleges, and Institutes Meeting (HDUCIM).

The HDUCIM is a forum for regional military leaders to discuss academic issues pertaining to regional militaries’ training and professional development. KDU was invited to co-host the 25th HDUCIM by the National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM).

Both parties exchanged views on the proposed theme for the 25th HDUCIM during this cordial discussion. Additionally, both institutions were kept informed of the progress of the proposed MOU.

Along with the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Services, Industry Relations & Corporate Affairs)-Dato’ Dr Junaidah binti Kamarruddin of NDUM, the Deputy Director (Research, International School of Defense & Security)-Prof. Dr Adam Leong Kok Wey, Fellow (Research, International School of Defense & Security)-Lt Gen Dato’ Fadzil bin Mokhtar (Retired), Director (Industry Relations)-Assoc Prof Dr Noor Afiza binti Mat Razali, Director (Corporate Affairs)-Assoc Prof Ts. Dr Ong Hai Liaw, Fellow (Research, International School of Defense & Security)-Lt Col Assoc Prof Dr Inderjit Singh a/l Tara Singh (Retired) represented NDUM while Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Def & Admin)-Brig. W Chandrasiri, Dean Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies Col. HMGE Herath, Director-International Relations -Dr. KMGP Premadasa, HOD- Department of Strategic Studies-Dr Harinda Vidanage, Research Coordinator-Lt Col Lasith Amarasekara, Senior Lecturer – Department of Strategic Studies-Ms Sinduja Jayarathna represented KDU.
