Focus and Scope

The KDU Journal of Multidisciplinary studies (KJMS) is published biannually, in July and in November by the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka. KJMS is an international open access and peer reviewed journal to publish high quality original research papers from different disciplines and interdisciplinary approaches.

The journal is open to researchers of diverse disciplines on Strategic & Defence Studies, Medical and Health Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Built Environment and Spatial Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences & Humanities, Law, Management, Computing, etc.

The journal aims to bring together quality research and to compile articles in diverse disciplines providing a platform for cross boundaries. It seeks to publish original and innovative research with novel analysis on various application models relating to multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research.

The authors are recommended to identify research gaps via latest research publications, interpret the significance of research and address relevant theoretical perspectives contributing outcomes to broader developmental efforts nationally and internationally.


Publication Frequency

The journal publishes two issues a year, in July and November.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. There is no embargo on the journal’s publications.

Journal of Multidisciplinary studies KJMSKJMS is published under the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International license. Authors of the publications in KJMS retain the copyright of their articles. They are free to reproduce and disseminate their work. The source (KJMS) should be cited when articles published in the KJMS are reproduced or stored in a repository. Authors can archive and distribute their articles after publication in KJMS, which is not responsible for subsequent uses of the work.


Journal Archiving

This journal is available for LOCKSS harvesting, to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. See LOCKSS harvesting start page.
