Twenty-nine final year students of FOC following Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering completed an industrial visit on 27th of February 2023 to CodeGen IT company at Trace Expert city. The students were chosen based on an online assessment given by CodeGen Engineers during a virtual session on February 20, 2023.
The visit was organized by the Entrepreneurial, Industry Training, and Career Guidance unit of the Faculty. The students were given an insight into the working culture they obtained an in-depth knowledge of the present technologies used by the IT industry. Participants were able to witness Sri Lanka’s and South Asia’s first all-electric supercar, “Vega” which was manufactured by Vega Innovations, a subsidiary of CodeGen. The participants were also able to engage with the alumni who work at the company.
Participants and CodeGen offered complimentary comments when the event came to a close.
