Dr. MWP Maduranga, from the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Computing, has been honored with the KDU Research Excellence Award in the academic staff category, achieving the position of second runner-up. This award serves as a testament to his outstanding contributions to research through the dissemination of his work in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

The award was presented during the Inauguration Ceremony of the International Research Conference in 2023. The awards were given by the Vice Chancellor, in the presence of Honorable Sagala Ratnayaka.
