The Fourth lecture of the Short Course on “Cultural Linkages towards an Asian Ideology” for the academic year 2023/24 was presented by Professor Rahul Raj. His lecture, titled “India’s Role in the Asian Community.” took place on October 17th, 2023, from 1500 to 1630 via Zoom.
Professor Rahul Raj is a lecturer at the Center for Korean Studies (CKS), School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in India. He received his Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts and Master of Philosophy in Korean Studies from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, and completed his Ph.D. in Korean Studies at Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea.
Professor Raj has been awarded numerous awards and scholarships by the Government of the Republic of Korea and many other prestigious organizations, and has contributed greatly to the field of Peace and Conflict Studies by conducting various research on South Korea, North Korea, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense and South Korea-US-China Dynamics, etc.
The course is organized for the fourth consecutive year by the Department of Social Sciences, FMSH under a generous research grant awarded by the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) in Japan. This course is scheduled to run from October 2023 to March 2024, catering to a select group of undergraduate students in intake 40, representing diverse faculties within KDU.
