Club Awards

A large part of the success earned by the KDU Toastmasters club during the year 2020/2021 is due to the exemplary performance of the Educational, Public Relations and Membership committees.

At the pinnacle of our achievements lies, the Golden Gavel, the most coveted award of any Toastmasters community, which the KDU Toastmasters club was able to win for the first time in its history. The task of winning the Golden Gavel may have not been possible if not for the joint wins made by all the other committees as well.

From the Educational Committee, we were able to secure the President’s Distinguished Club status within a very short period of time. Further we were able to reach a hundred percent pathway adoption, coupled with a number of speakers who won Triple Crown Awards. The Public Relations Committee added colour to the many achievements of KDU Toastmasters club after being placed second in the Flyer of the Month Competition and after being placed third at the Creative Content Newsletter Award. The excellence of our Membership Committee in securing a number of awards ranging from the, Smedley Award, Triple Star Award, Talk Up Toastmasters Award to the Beat the Clock to the 8-80 Membership Award only elevated the victories of our club and took it to greater heights.

In reminiscence of the journey we have taken so far, we could only look back and gleam with joy as we see the KDU Toastmasters club shining in all glory for all her awards and achievements won by the hard work and effort of all its members.
