The proposed 704-bed hospital is to be comprised of all the ultra modern facilities with cutting edge technology to provide around the clock emergency and trauma care and specialized treatment of diseases of all the branches of medicine, surgery, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.

moreThe construction of the proposed Teaching Hospital for General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University has already commenced in a 15 acre land area at Werahera, in an outskirt of Colombo. The construction of the hospital (TH-KDU) is to be completed by mid 2016. Although, situated facing Colombo - Rathnapura main road, this hospital is to be situated in a quiet place with natural tranquility.
