School of Engineering, Massey University, and KDU Engineering holds talks for collaboration

Academics from the School of Engineering, Massey University New Zealand and their counterparts in KDU held a successful round of discussions on 11th November 2020 to explore the possibility of two institutions collaborating. Areas of mutual interest were 2+2 pathway programmes for KDU Engineering students at Massey, Opportunities for Staff and student exchange, joint research and joint publications.

Prof. Julian Heyes, Head of School, School of Food and Advanced Technology, Associate Professor Fakhrul Alam, Head of the Mechanical and Electrical Department, Prof. Donald Bailey, Major Leader (Electronics and Computer Engineering), Dr Frazer Noble, Major Leader (Mechatronics) and Deputy Head, School of Food and Advanced Technology, Prof Sen Gupta, joined this virtual meeting from the Massey University, while the Vice Chancellor of KDU Major General MP Peiris, Dean Faculty of Engineering Capt. Udaya Dampage, Dean Computing, Commodore JU Gunaseela, Dean R&D Prof Charitha Goonasekara, Director International Relations, Dr KMGP Premadasa, HOD Electrical & Electronics, Capt KK Dadallage, HOD Mechanical, Capt MCP Dissanayake took part in the meeting from KDU.

The International Relations Office of KDU coordinated the meeting and provided support to both the parties to make the event a success.
