1. Service Quality Management

Definition of service quality standards for the library.
Standard Library Quality Frame Work adopted. - LIBQUAL
Development and implementation of service quality assessment tools and metrics.
Regular evaluation of library services based on predefined standards.
Gathering feedback from library users and incorporating it into service improvement initiatives.
Monitoring and addressing issues related to service quality.
Regular staff training on service modules.

2. Collection Development & Control

Bibliographic control policy including Acquisition policies and procedures for library resources.
Development and maintenance of a comprehensive collection development plan.
Evaluation and selection of materials based on academic relevance and user needs.
Regular assessment of the collection to ensure its currency and relevance.
Collaboration with faculty and subject specialists to align the collection with academic programs.
Monitoring and addressing issues related to collection quality and integrity.

3. Staff Training & Development

Identification of core competencies and skills required for library staff.
Design and implementation of training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
Regular professional development opportunities for staff to stay updated with emerging trends and technologies.
Performance evaluation and feedback mechanisms for staff members.
Encouragement of a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the library staff.

4. Library Policies

Regular review and updating of existing policies to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with evolving needs.
Communication and dissemination of library policies to staff and library users.
Collaboration with relevant stakeholders, such as academic departments and university administration, to align policies with institutional goals.
Compliance monitoring and enforcement of library policies.

5. Reporting and Documentation

Preparation of periodic reports on quality assurance activities and outcomes.
Documentation of assessment results, feedback received, and actions taken for improvement.
Maintenance of records related to staff training, library policies, and collection control.
Submit quality cell minutes and statistics to every Library Committee Meeting (LCM).
Sharing reports and documentation with relevant stakeholders and decision-makers.

6. Continuous Improvement

Identification of areas for improvement based on assessment results and feedback.
Implementation of corrective and preventive measures to address identified issues.
Monitoring and tracking the progress of improvement initiatives.
Collaboration with other university departments and external partners for benchmarking and best practices.
On every major improvement proposed/ taken place, LCM will be duly reported.
