Prof. Thushara Weerawardane, Dr. Nishantha Kumarasinghe and Dr. A. I. Kuruppu along with two professors from Dalhousie University, Canada- Prof. Arunika Gunawardena and Prof. Rajesh Rajaselvam visited two Ayurveda health centres on 8th April 2023 to discuss about forming an interdisciplinary team to explore the scientific insights of traditional medicines. They visited Sethsuwa Pranajeewa Clinic and Barberyn Ayurveda Resort where they met Dr. Sujeewa Vithanage owner of Sethsuwa and Mr. M. Rodrigo owner of Barberyn Ayurveda Resort, Beruwala. They all believe that interdisciplinary efforts are important for scientific discovery and translational research efforts.
