The ‘Statistical Decision Making for Research Using ANOVA and MANOVA’ workshop, which was held on 30th May 2025, was the second session, following the initial workshop held in August 2024. Building upon its predecessor’s success, this workshop aimed to enhance participants’ statistical proficiency, focusing on the application of ANOVA and MANOVA in experimental data analysis. Led by Dr. U. P. Liyanage, Senior Lecturer from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Colombo, the session provided comprehensive theoretical insights complemented by practical applications drawn from both academia and industry.
Organized by Dr. A. I. Kuruppu, Assistant Director and Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Combinatorial Advanced Research & Education (KDU-CARE), the workshop attracted a diverse cohort of twenty attendees, including postgraduates, early-career lecturers, and senior academics, who participated both in-person and online. The event was met with enthusiastic engagement and positive feedback, underscoring its success in fostering advanced statistical skills among participants.
