Visit of State Minister of Defence to University Hospital, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University
The State Minister of Defence Hon. Premitha Bandara Tennakoon together with the Secretary of the Defence, General G D H Kamal Gunaratne WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil made an visit to the University Hospital, Kotelawala Defence University on 01st December 2022.
KDU Vice Chancellor Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil received the visiting dignitaries on their arrival at the venue and accompanied them to witness the operational aspects and amenities of the fully-fledged hospital.
State Minister and the Defence Secretary also took time to exchange pleasantries with some inmates those receiving treatment, during their visit to the inpatient wards.
A meeting was also convened to discuss the facts in length and several key issues were taken for deliberation over the table.
Additional Secretary (Defence), Ms. Dammika K Wijesinghe, Military Liaison Officer, Major General WPADW Nanayakkara RSP USP ndu, Director Administration, Brigadier LWSR Wettasinghe, Director Medical service, Brigadier (Dr) PS Thilakarathne, Professor. Namal Wijesinghe, All the consultants and the Staff of UHKDU also participated the event.
