The Executive Director of Global Engagement of Massey University, New Zealand Visits KDU
The Executive Director of Global Engagement of Massey University Mr Chris Carey visited KDU and met the Acting Vice Chancellor Brigadier DCA Wickramasinghe USP and the Dean and the staff of the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) on 24th April 2023.
KDU and the University of Massey, New Zealand entered into an MoU and an Articulation Agreement in 2022. Both institutions maintain a very cooperative and mutually beneficial partnership. The visit of the Executive Director was aimed at further strengthening the ties.
Mr Carey first visited the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) to meet staff and students. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty Prof Thushara Weerawardane. In his remarks, the Dean elaborated on potential avenues for future collaboration. During the discussion Mr Carey responded to questions from students and staff of the FOE. Following the visit to FOE, Mr Chris Carey visited ‘Walawwa,’ the late Prime Minister General Sir John Kotelawala’s mansion.
Mr. Carey expressed his satisfaction with the progress made in the partnership and highlighted the importance of continuously adapting to the ever-changing global landscape in higher education. He appreciated KDU’s commitment and expressed the eagerness of Massey University to continue working together for the benefit of both institutions.
