All – Night Pirith Chanting Ceremony at University Hospital – General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University

In celebration of 6^th Anniversary of University Hospital – General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, a all-night Pirith Chanting Ceremony was held at the University Hospital premises on 15^th June 2023 to invoke blessings to all personnel of the University including all Tri Forces Officers, Consultants, Other ranks, Nursing Staff, Civil Staff all patients and their families.

Fifteen (15) Buddhist priests from the Sri Bodhirajaramaya Viharaya Werahera conducted the Pirith Chanting at the UHKDU Premises. Subsequently, the proceeding was concluded the next morning (16 June 2023) with an almsgiving to the Venerable Maha Sangha on the same premises.

Vice Chancellor of KDU, Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Executive Director Dr. B Jayan Mendis, Director Medical Service, Brigadier (Dr.) PS Thilakaratne, Director Administration, Brigadier LWSR Wettasinghe, and all the Consultants, Doctors, and Staff of UHKDU also participated for the event.
