The Visit of the State Minister of Higher Education to KDU

Hon. (Dr) Suren Rāghavan, State Minister of Higher Education, made a visit to General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University on the 09^th April 2024. At the onset of his visit, the Honourable State Minister met Vice Chancellor of KDU, Rear Admiral HGU Dammika Kumara VSV USP psc MMaritime Pol BSc (DS)  at the Vice Chancellor’s Office and subsequently participated in a briefing on the present status of KDU. Major General Chinthaka Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration) was also present at the event.

During the Honourable State Minister’s visit, important areas related to future of KDU were discussed. He extended the discussion with the academic staff of the University. Marking the symbolical visit to KDU, the Honourable Minister signed the visitors’ book at the residence of the late Prime Minister, General Sir John Kotelawala.
