Experience the Vibrant Tapestry of Art at ‘වර්ණ’24’ : A Cultural Extravaganza featuring at Shanida Ayubowan

“වර්ණ’24,” the art exhibition organized by the Art Circle of the Faculty of Engineering, was featured on Rupavahini Channel’s Shanida Ayubowan programme on July 13, 2024, starting at 9:00 am. The interview included Ms. NGSA Nawarathne, the advisor of the Art Circle; Day Scholar Sandeepa Madhushan, the president of the Art Circle from Intake 39; and Officer Cadet KMSY Rodrigo, the treasurer from Intake 39. They highlighted and praised the concept of the exhibition, which showcases the talents of undergraduates, particularly from the Faculty of Engineering.

Sincere thanks and gratitude were extended to the Vice Chancellor, Rear Admiral HGU Dammika Kumara, VSV, USP, psc, MMaritimePol, BSc (DS), for his continued support in making this event a success. Special appreciation was also given to Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thushara Weerawardane, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, for his unwavering guidance for this extraordinary exhibition. A heartfelt tribute was also paid to Capt. (Retd) Eng SU Dampage, former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, for initiating this unique concept, which has helped uncover the hidden talents of KDU undergraduates.

This year, the exhibition will be held for the second time at the KDU premises on July 23 and 24. An open invitation is extended to all who are interested in witnessing the talents of KDU undergraduates.
