Visit to KDU by a Delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation

A delegation from the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation had an official discussion with the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration) of KDU, Major General Chinthaka Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC, on 29th January 2025. During the discussion, the Deputy Vice Chancellor emphasized the possibility and importance of strengthening relationships between KDU and the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. Further, the Deputy Vice Chancellor highlighted the modern facilities available at KDU and the possibility of enhancing academic opportunities. After the discussion, the delegation also visited the Engineering and Medical faculties.

Furthermore, Major General Alexander Ivanovich Zinchenko, the Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation (Head of Delegation), expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome received and commented on KDU’s commitment to excellence in education and research for the defence sector. The Deputy Vice Chancellor presented him with a thoughtful memento to commemorate his visit to KDU.
