The First Batch of SS&IR Completed Their Internship Successfully

Trailblazing the discovery of amazing university life, students of Intake 37 of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, who follow Bachelor’s degrees in Strategic Studies and International Relations, the first batch of degrees in SS&IR, marked the zenith of their internship by performing the viva in front of a panel of renowned personalities on 8^th February 2023.

The Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University, Major General MP Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Mphil, graced the event as the chief guest. The Dean of the Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies, Colonel RKARP Ratnayake RSP USP, Head of the Department of Strategic Studies, Dr. Harinda Vidanage, Senior Lecturers, Military Officers, and the undergraduates of Intakes 37, 38, 39, and 40 of the FDSS participated in the event.

The Vice-Chancellor addressed the gathering and mentioned the positive feedback received from the companies and institutions where the undergraduates completed their internships. Eng. (Dr.) Namali Sirisoma, the Director of the Career Guidance Unit, promulgated the career paths that are accessible to students and proudly declared the willingness to recruit KDU students. The programme was very colorful and vibrant as the undergraduates of Intakes 38, 39, and 40 of FDSS also participated in it.
