Service of the Dedicated University Sergeant Major of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University Lauded by Awarding Commander’s Certificates

Warrant Officer Class I BWRT Wijesundara USP, the University Sergeant Major of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (USM of KDU) was commended by Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army in recognition and appreciation of the splendid job extended to create and monitor the Parade Drill of the Presidential and Corps Colours Awarding Ceremony of the National Cadet Corps.   

As the request made by the National Cadet Corps, General Sir John Kotelawala Denence University (KDU) pledged to provide training assistance by sending WO I BWRT Wijesundara USP, the University Sergeant Major to train & monitor Drill Squads of their Colour Parade.

Warrant Officer Class I BWRT Wijesundara USP a well qualified Instructor in the Sri Lanka Army has been conferred with the 1^st in Order of Merit of Drill Instructor Course No – 107 in 2015 and Best Drill Instructor of the Inter Regiment Pace Stick Drill Competition of the Sri Lanka Army in 2019.  

Commander of the Army, after presentation of certificates of commendations, extended best wishes and congratulations to the USM of KDU and advised him to sustain his committed service in the future also.
