The Visit of the Chief of Staff to the President and National Security Advisor to KDU

Honourable Sagala Rathnayaka, the Chief of Staff and National Security Advisor to the President made an official visit to General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University on 18^th August 2023. Starting the visit to KDU, Honourable Sagala Rathnayaka paid his homage to the newly built War Hero’s Monument by offering flowers. During his visit, he inspected the ongoing progress of the proposed Auditorium Construction in the Kandawala premises, the area designated for Regional Centre for Maritime Studies, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Computing, and Faculty of Medicine. Further he graced the sentimental opening of the KDU Care Lab.  

Honourable Sagala Rathnayaka met the Vice Chancellor of KDU, Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Mphil at the Vice Chancellor’s Office and participated in a briefing on present status of KDU which was presented by Brigadier Chinthaka Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration). In addition, he visited the KDU Museum which is the residence of Late Prime Minister General Sir John Kotelawala and symbolized his visit to KDU by signing the visitor’s book. His call to KDU also covered with a visit to UHKDU.
