Ceremonial Induction of Commander of the Air Force to the Hall of Fame KDU

Air Marshal RAUP Rajapaksa RSP and two Bars VSV USP MSC (MOA) USA, MSC (Def Stu) in Mgt MA in IS&S (UK), BSC (Def Stu), MIM (SL), AMIE (SL), rcds, psc, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force paid an official visit to the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University on 25^th August 2023 and he was warmly welcomed by the Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Mphil.

The Commander’s visit commenced with a customary Tri Forces Guard Turn Out, was followed by a flower tribute at the War Heroes’ Monument which symbolizes the adoration for war heroes. The induction into the Hall of Fame, and the unveiling of the photograph at the Hall of Fame were the most remarkable events during this visit. In appreciation of the attainment to the highest level position in SLAF and made the great contribution to society and nation, Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal RAUP Rajapaksa RSP VSV USP rcds psc was privileged to induct in to Hall of Fame of KDU. Air Marshal RAUP Rajapaksa RSP VSV USP rcds psc was enlisted as an officer cadet to the 6th intake of KDA. During the Commander’s speech, he expressed his gratitude to the Vice Chancellor of KDU for induct him to the Hall of Fame of KDU. Later he conducted an inspiring speech to the Military Officers, Officer Cadets and Day Scholar students on his career and achievements which was a truly a motivation to the all student society of KDU.

The visit culminated with a visit to KDU faculties and warm lunch at walauwa. Rear Admiral HGUD Kumara VSV USP psc, the Vice Chancellor designate, Rector Southern Campus, Rector Metropolitan Campus, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration), Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), all Deans, all Directors, Academic and Non-Academic staff, Cadet Officers and Day Scholars were present at this esteemed occasion.
