Renewing Collaborative Ties: KDU renews the MOU with the University of Bremen, Germany
The General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University and the University of Bremen, Germany renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 12th February 2024, at the Board Room of the Headquarters, KDU.
Initially signed in 2017, this MOU strengthens academic ties and fosters collaboration between the two institutions. The renewal, officiated by the Vice Chancellor of KDU, Rear Admiral HGU Dammika Kumara, VSV, USP, psc, MMaritimePol, BSc (DS), and Professor Anna Forster from the Department of Sustainable Communication Networks, Faculty of Physics and Electrical Engineering, University of Bremen, Germany signifies a continued commitment to academic excellence and innovation. This partnership promises exciting opportunities for student and staff exchanges, joint academic projects, and cultural enrichment, further activities enhancing the academic excellence in both institutions.
Many esteemed guests including the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence & Administration), Brigadier DCA Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof KAS Dhammika, Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof TL Weerawardane, Acting Registrar Ms. SDKC Sandanayake, Head of Department of Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering Capt. RT Hettiarachchi and the staff members of the Faculty of Engineering participated for this event.
