39th Sri Lanka National Rowing Championship 2024

Sri Lanka’s biggest National Regatta in Rowing was held for the 39th time at the Diyawanna Rowing Club in Battaramulla. The National Rowing Championship was organized by the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka (ARASL). The championship was held under categories of junior, intermediate, and senior open-level leagues, and the competition was conducted from the 03^rd to 6^th of April 2024. More than 450 athletes from all over the country took part in this year’s National Rowing Championship and the closing ceremony of the Championship was held on the 6^th of April 2024.

There were 21 institutions, including the Tri Forces, all the top clubs, universities, and schools in the country. They participated in over 140 events in men’s and women’s singles, doubles, pairs, and quadruples on a course of 2,000 meters under the international standards.

The KDU Rowing Crew brought honour to the university by winning four silver medals, and twelve bronze medals. The KDU Rowing team for the year 2024 included 28 crew members, including 26 officer cadets, and 02 day-scholars. The followings members of the KDU Rowing Team brought the honour to the university with outstanding performances.
