Long Service Awarding Ceremony 2021

The 12th Long Service Awarding Ceremony of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was ceremonially held on 07th July 2022 at the Main Auditorium. Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Major General Milinda Peiris graced this esteemed occasion as the Chief Guest with other honoured invitees. Six (06) members of the Academic and Non-Academic Civil Permanent Staff who had completed 35, 30, and 20 years of meritorious service respectively at this University were awarded and honoured at this event. Awardees were given a medal, (except for 20 years service) a certificate and a cash prize as tokens of appreciation for their valuable, dedicated, unblemished and continuous service to the University.

KDU has appreciated the long service of 288 employees for the last 12 years and has so far awarded cash prizes worth Rs. 3,570,000.00.
