Impressive KDU Rugby Team Emerges as Runners Up of SLIIT DOZENS – 2024

With an exceptional show piece of team work, determination, physique and skills through out two days of intense competition, KDU Rugby team conquered the battle ground of   SLIIT DOZENS – 2024 Rugby tournament which was held at SLIIT grounds – Malabe on 30^th and 31^st of July 2024.

It was a real test of team work, physical and mental resilience, perfect blend of sheer power, speed, skills among 10 teams in completion.

KDU Rugby Team consisting of with Officer Cadets and Day-Scholars from seven different faculties led by Officer Cadet Deshal Perera was a stunning show case of dominance, which deterred all other teams of competition from the start of group matches, where KDU conquered group A.

After 30 minutes filled with intriguing play, competition andn sportsmanship by the KDU team, it owned Runners Up trophy and Day-Scholar Hasanka Higgoda was sworn as most Try / Runs scorer of the tournament for his exceptional brilliance of 40 points with six tries and five successful conversions.
