KDU Achieves Historic Recognition at Times Higher Education Awards Asia 2023

For the first time ever in the history of any Sri Lankan Higher education institution, KDU has been shortlisted under the headline category “Leadership and Management team of the year” out of 700 entries received this year from universities all over Asia in Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia Ranking 2023.

Widely known as the ‘Oscars of higher education’, “THE Awards Asia” offers a major international platform to recognize outstanding leadership and institutional performance and celebrate the continent’s higher education excellence.

As one of THE’s most prestigious awards, being shortlisted for “Leadership and Management Team of the Year” acknowledges KDU’s continuous drive for improvement and advancement. The leadership team, spearheaded by the Vice Chancellor and the faculty, focuses on shaping young minds into exemplary individuals, poised to contribute to society positively.

According to THE, this year there was a huge increase in the number of THE Awards Asia submissions, from all corners of the continent, with strong entries from world-renowned universities. All individuals nominated, according to “THE,” should be very proud of their selection, and they plan to celebrate the success of nominees at the Asia Universities Summit in Hong Kong in June 2023.
