University of Primorska and KDU Collaborate to Enhance Global Learning and Research
As per the invitation from the International Relations Department of the University of Primorska, Slovenia, Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara, the Vice Chancellor of KDU, Surgeon Captain Ranga Perera (Dean, FAHS, KDU), Dr. Prasanna Herath (ERASMUS Coordinator, KDU), Dr. Kalpani Abhayasingha, Dr. Dinithi Vidanage, Dr. Maliga Wijesiri, and Mr. Chandima Kumara from the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, FAHS, KDU, participated in this meeting on 10 June 2024. These discussions explored various avenues for collaboration, focusing on creating robust educational and research links between the institutions.
Highlighting the commitment to long-term cooperation, KDU has already signed an agreement for an ERASMUS collaboration initiated by Dr. Prasanna Herath to foster academic exchange and joint research initiatives. The participants also had the opportunity to visit the Valdoltra Orthopaedic Hospital in Koper, Slovenia.
Both universities are committed to expanding their partnership through more integrated projects and academic exchanges. These future collaborations aim to leverage each institution’s strengths to enhance global learning environments and contribute to significant advancements in research and education.
