KDU Hosts Bana Pinkama

On June 15, 2024, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University hosted a Bana Pinkama, graced by Ven. Rajagiriye Ariyagnana Thero.

The event saw an attendance of over 1,500 people, including members of civil society, day scholars, cadet officers, officers from the tri-services, as well as academic, non-academic, and support staff of KDU.

Ven. Ariyagnana Thero preached the Buddhist philosophy, emphasizing that the way to transcend suffering through the Dhamma, leading to enlightenment and liberation from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth.
