KDU Netball Strikes again

KDU Netball has achieved remarkable heights in the scope of University Sports. It consists of skillful and capable players who are well committed to the sport. Netball is one of the most highlighted sports in KDU with strong participation and significant achievements.

2022 was an outstanding year for KDU Netball as it recorded the highest number of Championships for a year in KDU history.

KDU emerged as Champions at the CIMA Sports Day held on 30th October 2022 at the Thurstan College Sports Complex. Thakshila Dissanayake won the best player award.

KDU also became Champions at the Colombo District Netball Tournament organised by Colombo District Netball Association, held on 27th November 2022.The team displayed excellent performance and good sportsmanship throughout the games.

Mrs Priyanthi Wijeratne contributes as the coach. The team is led by the Captain Rivisha Siriwardana and Vice-Captain Isini Gomes.
